Yeah, I can definitely see this. I don't really mind her character but some people severely over rate her. She's straight up pairing fodder with how Kishimoto depicted her. Well to be using ~kun, you would be calling a male young master. It depends on their respect towards each other. Sakura does refer Kakashi and Tsunade in respectful ways. So it just has something that clicks with the character. Especially on Naruto's part since he refers every other person rudely.

Kun is used when you don't really know the person well and still have a barrier with him in communicating.Once the person is known its dropped entirely.Its not rude at all

She was more relevant than the majority of K11 barring Shikamaru but yeah from plot perspective she was irrelevant

That is because she was supposed to be Naruto's future wife. She only appeared for NaruHina moments. Out of the K-11 Neji, Rock Lee, Choji showed more relevance in the fighting department. In part two I would not say there is much room to brag about for any of these characters. Because if one is to look at there overall screen time I gurentee you it would not be much. Even if Hinata is the third female character with the most screen time. In the ranking it may look alot. But if one is to read the manga, anyone can easily deduce how much relevance she had. So really I see no reason to think she had enough screen time to make a impact.

Overrated? Which character is not overrated?

1.Sakura: Only feat she ever showed up to being Chiyo's support summon character in the Chiyo VS Sasori fight (Chiyo defeated and killed Sasori) and after that all she did was crying and being fodder who was one-shoted by loser fodders like Omoi and despite getting the Byakugo all she can do is need to be saved by both Naruto and Sasuke several times again, and even after that she call herself equal to them.

2.Sasuke: Despite getting power ups in each seconds, he never won any fight except Shimura Danzo, in all of his fights he needed to be saved by others (Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, Taka, Obito, Zetsu, Itachi ect), most of his opponents were in disadvantage - Orochimaru was deadly ill, Deidara had element disadventage, Itachi was blind already, Killer Bee had to fight a 4 againts 1, Kabuto had to fight in a 2 againts 1 fight and Shimaru Danzo had to watch over Karin and Obito too - and all of his powers were stolen from others and yet, he calls himself the strongest.

3.Kakashi: without his beloved sharingans he is good for nothing and needed the pity of Obito to get asspull power up Susanoo for 2 minutes. Yet, he is the coolest ninja ever lived.

4.Madara: never could protect anyone not even his little brother who was killed in front of his eyes, never could defeat Hashirama when they both lived in their era, being manipulated by a Venom-copycat, stole the power of Hashirama and Izuna, couldn't kill anyone important and he needed power ups each time when he was in pinch. Yet, he is badass.

And so on! So, you can see, in Naruto, EVERYONE IS OVERRATED! Hinata's fans only saying she is not weak and some fact like she saved Neji in chapter 526 and saved Naruto in chapter 614 before "that last attack" (same page where Sakura needed to be saved again) and mastered tons of techniques.

It's more to do with the fact that Hinata keeps repeating Naruto's name. The "kun" is just an associate. It can become irritating if all she does is cry out his name, much like Orihimie's "Kurosaki-kun". Lol
