Gaara's known to be a mass murderer. He was cruel and was obsessed with killing people. Many feared him but then he became good. All his crimes were forgiven with ease and he became KazeKage. This is strange, because I hear that Sasuke should be imprisoned and/or killed for his crimes, but Gaara doesn't?

It was Itachi's fault for the way Sasuke became. Sasuke was an innocent trapped in the middle of a blood fued between Konoha, the Senju, and the Uchiha. The Uchiha were right in their own way. Tobirama had racist views against the Uchiha and placed them under surveillence on the outskirts of the village. The Coup was justifiable due to the fact that the Uchiha were Co-Founders of Konoha and should've gotten a big slice of the pie within the government. But nope, they were screwed over.

Like Orochimaru said. Tobirama's views and actions against the Uchiha planted the seeds to cause them to go out like they did. He was too afraid of another Madara rising up, so he became very cautious towards them and was paranoid. It's his fault.

Learning the truth was too hard for Sasuke. He was traumatized to see so much death at a young age and had to learn so much about the truth about the Uchiha vs. Konoha. I don't like to repeat myself. Some people don't understand what Sasuke went through and complains that he's whiny, but would be just like him if someone they loved killed their family.

Yes, Sasuke did some bad things, but he's saving the world now. Shouldn't he be pardoned for all his crimes just like Gaara was for murdering people? Besides, Konoha did do him wrong along with his clan. People still try to blame him for Itachi's faults, but Itachi even had the balls to admit them, stating how much he failed as a brother to Sasuke. It was all Itachi's fault. But still...Haters are gonna hate.

No because it's not the same thing. Gaara actually grew up being hated and feared when he only wanted to be loved, in fact his uncle lied to him and told him his mother never loved him. Gaara's mom died in childbirth and he was blamed for it plus his uncle was order to kill him by his father and told him he wanted to kill him, the only person who shown Gaara kindness wanted him dead . He wanted to play with other kids but they all feared him and had hatred and disgust in their eyes and . Gaara is not allowed to sleep or else the Bijuu could take over his body which is how he got the black marks around his eyes .

Gaara only killed fellow villagers and it was never shown to be on purpose at first, the sand did defended him from attacks from people trying to kill him. After he gave into the darkness is when he would kill anyone who cross him the wrong way but he never showed to kill ninjas from other villagers unless they were attacking him. In the death forest they had to get the scrolls to pass on, the ninja team that fought Gaara might have lived if they just gave the scroll and left. Gaara killed some ninjas in the last stage of the chunin exam when they were bothering him and .

Gaara wasn't just forgiven easily, he left the team with his brother and sister and joined the regular forces to work his way up as he showed others that he has changed. He wanted to build bonds with others and protect the village. Gaara even said, "Through hard work.." , , .

Sasuke on the other hand did lost his parents and clan to his brother but he did not have to do all that he did. He was doing just fine being apart of team 7 and had bonds with people that cared about him but he severed those bonds and turned into the very same think Tobirama wanted to avoid. It's not all Itachi's fault, Sasuke chose to do what he did and no one forced him; Itachi encouraged him to but Sasuke was going down a brighter path until meeting Itachi again and from the sound 4 taunting him. Unlike Gaara, Sasuke joined a international criminal organization and was the one to give them some of the 8 tails chakra which allowed the Juubi to be resurrected; you need portions of all bijuus to revive it. Sasuke attacked the leaders of the other nations and caused A to lose an arm. He killed some Samurais who were neutral under Mifune.

Sasuke was stated to have no future after he attacked the Kage Summit because the Raikage and those Akatsuki hurt won't stay quiet . Well considering the Uchihas were Tobirama's enemies for the majority of his life and the fact that he stated that he seen them lose control many times before were why he sectioned them off from the village. Why would Tobirama keep a clan full of people who have the potential to fall into hatred and run wild as he have seen many times, around the other villagers? If Tobirama hated them then he would have had them killed off but he didn't, he even sacrifice himself for his team which had an Uchiha in it, he didn't sent the Uchiha off instead did he? .

Sasuke doesn't even shown to be sorry for his crimes or shown to care what others think. After saying he will become Hokage, he said he knows that he can't erase what he's done so far but that he doesn't care what they think. A Hokage is someone that is acknowledged as a one by the people and they don't acknowledge him as a comrade or as a leader . Just because Sasuke is currently fighting with them doesn't make him their comrade, he doesn't care about them which he shown when he only planned to save Naruto and Juugo when they were in Juubito's barrier and how he only was protecting Naruto against Kaguya since he knows he needed Naruto to fight both Juubito and Kaguya. If he didn't then he wouldn't have been saving anyone.

So you can see the difference between Gaara and Sasuke, Sasuke's crimes were international and he doesn't care to fix what he have done while Gaara's crime was 99% confined in the Sand village and he worked hard to change how everyone felt about him. He turned a village that all feared and hated him into one where they all trust and love him. Gaara also have never wronged or attacked any other Kage or their village; Orochimaru was the mastermind behind the attack on the leaf and Gaara was following orders to attack so that doesn't count as Gaara attacking Konoha since it was sound and Sand vs Leaf and not Gaara vs Hokage or Konoha

if people wanna hate sasuke then i dont really care. however what pisses me off is when they try and justify gaaras actions and make him like an innocent guy and at the same time slate sasuke. its complete horsehit. then they state all the bad things that happened to gaara but conveniently forget what sasuke also passed through.

I hope i'm not one of them.

It wasn't my intention to slate Sasuke and make Gaara out to be innocent when neither of them are innocent.

The fact is that Gaara showed growth overtime and tried to atone for what he's done.

Sasuke has yet to do that without also thinking about himself.

Saving the world from Kaguya and not destroying Konoha was all to prelude him becoming Hokage and trying to change the ninja system.

No, Naruto didn't value his strength as much as Sasuke did.He didn't take his advancement as serious as Sasuke did. If you notice it wasn't everyone that Sasuke minded getting stronger. Sasuke has fought stronger opponents, he was completely fine losing to Rock Lee, the fact is it was Naruto the lowest rank of the class that was showing him up. Sasuke had to be strong so when he shown up by someone supposedly weak then it shook his confidence.

If you can tell me with a straight face that Naruto could have beat on that snake in the FOD, fought Gaara, defeat Haku, and defeat Neji without utilizing Kyuubi chakra then yeah I will believe that Kurama had nothing to do with Naruto's development in part one

@bold WOW. This is where I'm going to have to take my leave for the night. You are incredibly smart, but that was a really dumb statement.

Sasuke had a superiority complex and felt that he was better than everybody else. Always. End of story.

So please do not compare Vegeta to Sasuke, they are on different levels.
Stopped reading after this.

So, I guess after killing an innocent planet, letting Nappa nuke a whole city in less than a few seconds, and destroying many people during a tournament all because he wanted to be taken over my Majin's power is washed away because he decided to atone for his behavior after he blew himself up? So basically "after Vegeta repented for his sins then I guess he turned into this awesome angel so I don't hate him"

So, if Sasuke were to sacrifice his life for the world and decided to apologize for all the things he did beforehand, would he be more likable then? GTFO!!

As I said, it's only because it's Sasuke that you have qualms.

Well that's because Sasuke just recently learned the whole truth can't expect the guy to give in and change right off the bat.

How much Sasuke valued strength- enough to give up his life and freedom to attain.
I am not saying that Naruto didn't try as hard as Sasuke, but Sasuke was gaining strength for a purpose. His purpose in life. It goes without saying that that would cause Sasuke to take his rate of growth more serious than Naruto. Do you honestly think that Naruto would have defected from the village just to get stronger?

Also, Sasuke in part one only had trouble with Naruto surpassing him. No one else

The only people that knew of the massacre were Hiruzen, Danzo, the elders, Itachi, and Obito. Fact.

Regarding the rest of your statement, I think you need to go back and read my arguments again, the only thing that I have said is that he should be accountable for his actions because he is the one that chose to act the way he did. Not Indra, not Itachi, not Orochimaru, not the flawed system, but Sasuke. Sasuke made his choices. Nobody else.
Kabuto knew about it.Fact
No one but he is accountable for his actions but they played a massive role in putting sasuke in the place where he will have to make those decision.
except indra he was dead
I completely agree with uchihasenju

I wish you would take the time to read things in it's entirety.

@Bold
Vegeta went to hell after that... did you watch DBZ?

The fact that he manned up and willingly died to protect what he cared about knowing that it was a drop in the bucket in all his sins is commendable. It showed growth and the fact that he changed! Even if it was a little.

@Bold Red.
Yes, in some people's eyes, if Sasuke sacrificed himself and saved the entire world and apologized for all he did wrong. He would be more likable to others.

It isn't because it's Sasuke. I don't have some sort of vendetta against him. I like his character. But his actions are something I do not agree with. That makes me dislike him a little more than Gaara.

Because Naruto had no purpose at all. Lol. He was just doing it for fun.

Kabuto didn't know while Sasuke was under Orochimaru. Fact.

Who played a part is irrelevant to what anything I have said, as is uchihasenju's statement.

Saying Sasuke's purpose> Naruto's doesn't mean that Naruto had no purpose at all.

Naruto most likely viewed his strength as a tool as something to protect his comrades (edit) or a way to catch up to Sasuke, but it wasn't his sole focus in life. For Sasuke if he wasn't strong then his entire point in living was mute. The only thing Sasuke lived for was the chance to avenge his clan.

If you're saying Naruto was only training for fun that is false he trains to be equal/surpass Sasuke to get him to acknowledge him it wasn't for fun to him in any way or form.

How exactly was Sasuke's purpose greater than Naruto's? Please explain that. On the attempt that you make, you might actually see that strength meant just as much to Naruto as it meant to Sasuke.

Irrelevant to the point that I was making yes. People did him wrong, but he is the one that chose to go where he did, that's on him.

I was being sarcastic, and his strength wasn't focused on just Sasuke btw.

How?

because we were supposed to be 1st alarmed, then later relieved by gaaras chara

sasuke character was to be polarizing, while meandering, from chapter 1

it doesn't matter about the ''reasons'' or ''faults'' of each.
what matters is how they were intently written into the story

People should hate this char unlike that other char who has 3 years becoz the first didn't choose pathway of flowers or became humble or resposible for his action like other one and though he was wronged by many and even the flaws of shinobi system but that's irrelevent.
Damn nice logic
