How can Orochimaru use Senjutsu Chakra and absorb it, but he can't use Sage Mode?

actually Kabuto learned from the Giant Snake *dragon* on the Snake Fortress place location area <.<
RYUCHIDOU is the source .. and he doesn't have a body strong enough to Maintain it.. <.< kinda confusing I know.

Like others have said His body through part 1 and most of part 2 was too weak. Now he has a Zetsu body whih is essentially watered down hashi dna he should by all means be able to activate it. Also he has known how to do it so(although we may/will never see it) he could have been able to do it before he had to switch bodies.

He can use sage mode now.
It was already established he trained under the snake sage and acquired senjustu.
He couldn't use his senjustu chakra for sage mode because his then current body was literally rotting away thanks to the his own technique being reversed on him by itachi.
Then used his senjustu chakra to make the curse seals after studying juugo's clan and learning from the great white snake sage.
Also keep in mind he was eventually robbed of a portion of his chakra when his arms were sealed in the reaper death seal.
It was also noted that he had particularly strong chakra which is proven by the fact kabuto used a further portion of chakra left from his scavenged remains allowing him to utilize sage mode (Which people confuse with Juugo's DNA which allowed kabuto to continuously take in senjustu energy.) and bind an enormous amount of edo's at once.
Kabuto himself also mentions that he specifically needed anko because her curse mark retained some of orochiaru's senjustu chakra.
Now that orochimaru has a modified zetsu body (Which is comprised of nothing but hashirama's cells A.K.A. a powerful psychical body) Orochimaru can now use sage mode in combat.
Its also worth noting he now has all of zetsu's abilities.
Which means:
Perfect Chakra replication
He already had the ability to absorb chakra so,
He can meld into the earth.
He can use mokuton.
In sage mode he can:
Close his eyes and sense through heat,which in turns nullifies him from visual and sound genjustu.
Amped speed and reflexes.
And the ability to use that white dragon rage technique-That justu rocks
He already is virtually invincible and immune to almost every conventional psychical attacks.
Showed his high endurance when in a rotting body without his full chakra pool.And now he has it all back with a hashirama body what !?

I don't think he absorbed the senjutsu chakra, I think he Absorbed his own chakra only.
i could be wrong though. I just thought it was cool that Ororchimaru took his power back from a lunatic haha

Orochimaru has had Senjutsu chakra and control over it since part 1. His curse marks are made from Senjutsu chakra. He could not activate his sage mode because of his host body.
Just my thought on this but I have to disagreed with many of you. The way I see it, Orochimaru was trying to gain Juugo's clan ability to absorb natural energy but as Kabuto said, he couldn't find the right body. To say Orochimaru's host was to weak to handle SM just doesn't seem right. First off, SM doesn't do harm to the body, in fact it makes the body was stronger. SM works by balancing your chakra with the same amount of natural energy to form senjutsu. How can't his body handle SM when it takes chakra control to learn?
So my guess is, from what the manga says, Orochimaru wanted to gain Juugo's clan's ability but couldn't so made the CM using Juugo. Kabuto called CM a pretension trick and the ability can only be gained by training. Kabuto also said Orochimaru couldn't become a true sage so either Orochimaru doesn't have SM due to the lack of training or he's a imperfect Sage like Jiraiya.
