Knowing Sasuke, he'll most likely spam Rinnegan techniques without any knowledge of their drawbacks and restraints, he did the same thing when he got MS. He'll probably weaken Madara, via Hashirama's justu to remove that sage mode, and leave Naruto to handle the rest.

1.) Sasuke doesn't know woodstyle

2.) Even if he did learn it in this short amount of time, despite never actually being around to observe the hand signs involved in doing so, he wouldn't be as good as Madara or Hashirama is. Hell, I doubt he'd be more skilled than Yamato or white zetsu.

3.) "Sasuke is a seasoned fighter who exploits the stupidty of his opponents". Is that why he was:

Impaled by his own sword?
Or got his chest blown open?
Or received multiple stab wounds?​

4.) You're in denial, Naruto is the main character, he will undoubtedly be on equal, if not higher in terms of powers. He's the top priority of Kishimoto in character development as well.

Remember who this Manga is named after. The one who can change the world, Naruto Uzumaki.

Well since you made it sound like that i'm not happy with sasuke's next powerup i told you that i dont care about him otherwise i would have posted something else. And who's fanboying? i'm only saying that sasuke will not awaken rinnegan so soon because it is a manga fact that Rinnegan eye takes time for awakening. You are saying sasuke will awaken rinnegan faster than madara because plot needs him which sounds more like fanboying to me.

It's not necessary that sasuke should awaken Rinnegan. He can still fight better with EMS. If he awakens rinnegan now then he will have to learn it's techs and get used to it which is not possible in current situation. So i think he will be revived with EMS only.
