How can Nagato break Itachi's Tsukuyomi?

The only way Tsukuyomi can be broken is with Sharingan right? So how can he break it once he's caught in it?

Its always puzzled me why everyone says Itachi > Nagato when in every fight Itachi has been in he has used Genjutsu on his opponent.

I still personally think Itachi > Nagato

He won't get caught in it. Nagato can use summonings and his connected vision to see and fight Itachi while avoiding direct eye contact.
Though if he was caught in it, chances are he would have a tough time breaking out. My only guess is that if Nagato already has summonings out, his summonings might be able to attack Itachi and allow Nagato to break out.

That's just speculation man. Though it is the superior doujutsu, nothing in the manga implies that Nagato is immune to ocular genjutsu. And genjutsu itself definitely works, don't forget the frog song genjutsu.

This is a debate that does not have a sure outcome.

Why? Because both sides have "one-shot" abilities.

Itachi has Tsukuyomi, Sword of Totsuka, etc, and Nagato has his Rinnegan abilities (of which some, if completed, are lethal).

This is why there will never be a better answer besides: Either one could win on any given day and a lot would depend on the situation they are in and their overall intents.

Nagato doesn't have to look at his eyes at all. He can see what's going on on the battlefield via his animal summonings.

As for your question, i dont think nagato can break tsukiyomi because it is far beyond ordinary genjutsu.

Itachi can put Nagato in a Genjutsu and escape Chibaku Tensei just like Sasuke escaped C4 with Genjutsu

Well after my knowledge and my believes about the Rinnegan then it's impossible to disturb the host of Rinnegan with Eye Genjutsu.

Reason why is: Since we all know by looking on Nagato that he learned high level jutsus in every element in a very young age, and we do know by sensing chakra they can find out by using a special paper to see what element they are. So, by learning and perfecting two different elements like Jonins.

Still it has something to do with Chakra control by mastering all the different elements (in my beliefs) So because of Nagato mastered all these elements at a young age it would mean that he have a perfect chakra control, and all who had Rinnegan seems being enabled to use the six paths and as well all the elements.

And I believe Perfect Chakra control > Tsukuyomi.


Perhaps this didn't make lot of sense.
Summary : Host of Rinnegan gains perfect chakra control, and perfect chakra control > Tsukuyomi.

EYE Genjutsu cannot affect Rinnegan. Jiraya and the toads did a sound Genjutsu. There are many reasons Itachi cannot defeat Nagato. First, he would need to be a sensor type to discover where Nagato would be...second he would have to fight the 6 pains in order to get to Nagato. It's already showed that Itachi don't have much stamina if he uses his full powers, so even though he could defeat 4 or 5 pains, he would never make it past Tendo Pain...

Itachi using Tskuyomi and Amaterasu will drain his stamina and ultimately weaken him after each MS technique. So if he wants to waste MS on his summonings, that's on him. Fact is Nagato, has at least 5 summonings for extra eyes and vision. So I doubt Itachi would waste his MS like that. As for the genjutsu without looking, that won't be a powerful enough genjutsu to stop someone like Nagato who can still use his summonings to run interference with Itachi's genjutsu. If he gets caught, then his summonings can buy him enough time to break out the genjutsu.

But his Summonings have linked vision, so if one Pain gets caught then everybody gets caught.

So his Summonings can't help him

heck, If Itachi put Pain's summonings in Tsukuyomi then its all over for Pain too XD

Nagatos dog summon multiply every time u hit it foesnt matter how many time u hit by ama it will just keep on multplying and nagato can summon other summons too nagato really way too much for itachi
