Well....he has SM so he can heal faster....but I don't think it regenerates limbs. That is the power of the Juubi Jin I believe.... Like when he regenerated from Gais attack that was the Juubi.....I guess his SM makes it a bit quicker...

Though the Senju DNA is very OP when it comes to healing, I don't think it grants the user to regenerate entire body parts back. I'm guessing he can regenerate entire body parts back so quickly, because of a mixture of Senju DNA, and being the Juubis Jinchuriki.

Tsunade hyped her creation rebirth to have the ability to regen limbs and organs so hashi should be able to do that. Im guessing since madara didnt have a full power sm(he took senjutsu power from an edo who was close to his oringinal power),l he couldn't regen his arm back so he just took zetsu's arm instead. However being the juubi's jin must've greatly enhance hashirama's healing jutsu, which might explain how maddy survived might gai and a sage powered lava resenshuriken. Madara's current regen power should be close to an edos regen capabilities...

Hashi's DNA helps, but the main factor (especially when it comes to regenerating half of the body in seconds after Gai's attack) is of course the Juubi.

Your question seems to have been answered, but i am goi.g to be clear.
He has Hashirama's cells implant in him (probably more effective because it has Hash.'s face), hence Hashirama's Healing Ability. Madara also had Hashirama's Sage Mode which may have powered up the healing ability.
