I can study a lot, but I cannot afford to go to college or graduate school, only community college. Is there another way to become a scholar?

I am currently at a community college, finishing my Business AAS and some other certifications. I plan to work and also study and specialize in one subject. I want to become a scholar! I have reached this moment of enlightenment. I realized why I am obsessed with buying books and reading them all. I want to have lifelong learning. I want to become a Scholar.

In the same place as you buddy, my Film Theory course has really spoken to me. Even as a graduate, it's tough to know what to do next or how to get started.

Write papers, articles and books. Or teach at a scholarly level. The course also had production but i've learned it doesn't interest me as much.

Don't write self-inserts or power fantasies. Clarity should come before style or sophisticated 'showing off'. Your premise is nothing if you don't adhere to correct structure and have good pacing. Damn i'd be a good lecturer.

If you learn anything about publishing let me know though, i'm not exactly practically minded.

Literally putting yourself in the story creates undeveloped and boring characters. You can have an avatar character where the character is bland enough of an everyman to allow the audience to project themselves onto them. But only you know yourself, so it's all too easy to just assume everybody knows you inside and out.

Also self-inserts/power fantasies are usually one and the same. And a reader can allllllways tell when you have one. It's why Itachi and Bella from Twilight annoy me so.
