speaking of affinity... we have to mention the 'averages'
average or most people have the affinity of earth,water
below that is lightning and fire.. and the rarest is wind
its logical that, with a simplest of the simplest of hand seal... people can use earth jutsus even without proper training because average people do have earth affinity.. but it cant be compared with the proper trained ones... the purpose stated by shikamaru is to slow the attack down with large quantity of weak walls...and also, if they are told to use a simple wind tech,i'll doubt that because wind affinity is rare...
*this is something that pops out in my head* = if people can use a simple jutsu when they are told a simplest of hand seals... isnt that it conforms the user of sharingan can use certain range of jutsu because they can copy hand seals with sharingan? plus i havent seen a sharingan user use a copied wind tech..
