I see what you are saying, but that really shouldn't matter. A child looking like his parent is perfectly natural. Only a moron thinks that a resemblance makes a child a clone of the parent.

I acknowledged that in the OP. Even then, Mitsuki still has his differences from Orochimaru, just like all the new kids have substantial differences from their parents.

They’re not clones in the literal sense, but the lack of originality in what I can only hope was an attempt to pay tribute to their parents is astounding

Inojin can’t have a combo jutsu?

Shika can’t use a wind jutsu? Or look anything MORE like his dad himself

Chocho has to have chojis jutsu, moveset, size, and attitude? Wtf does her mom do anyway?

Sarada is sasuke with ces and wants to be naruto(but wait! Let’s give her shannaro too! Cause you know, girl! And she’s Sakuras daughter, in case people didn’t know)

Boruto has narutos moveset with a few caveats and wants to be like sasuke

The only two new things we’ve seen is borutos stream(anime only) and... umm... help me out here?

A series about secretive techniques, family blood lines, and inherited abilities... and you were expecting children to come out looking nothing like their parents?
Is this supposed to go along with that gene editing thread you inbreds in the ivory spires came up with? Give my kid fiber-optic blue hair with glowing ends and three dicks on her forehead and name her fizzle-pop berry blast ... or be a boring and unoriginal has-been?

Of all the things to complain about not being original, you pick a series that speaks to an agenda held by individuals with a pretty low IQ.
