There is a stupid claim floating around that the new gen kids are just clones of their parents. No offense to anyone, but those who say that don't know what they are talking about.
Let me start by saying that the only new gen kid that is a clone of his parent is Mitsuki (who is actually literally a clone of Orochimaru). Even then, Mitsuki is not a "clone" in the sense that you people are using the term.
Now before I get into the meat of this rant, here is a disclaimer:
Disclaimer: If you are going to be a stupid retard by whining about physical appearance (ie. boo hoo, (character) looks too much like his/her parent), then just save us all some time and get the hell out of this thread and go pick up a biology book, because anyone over the age of about 8 or so should know that it is perfectly natural for a child to look like his/her parents, and it is also common for a child to resemble one parent more so than the other. If you really can't visually distinguish between any of these new gen parent/child pairs, then you have vision problems or terrible attention to detail.
Now, let's start debunking those stupid claims, going kid by kid.
Starting off with the MC, we have...
1. Boruto Uzumaki:
2. Sarada Uchiha:
3. Mitsuki:
4. Chouchou Akimichi:
5. Inojin Yamanaka
6. Shikadai Nara
7. Metal Lee
The rest of the new gen kids don't have pre-established parents for us to go on.
Conclusion: If you think these new gen kids are clones of their parents then you have some screws loose and don't know what a clone is! If you think that physically looking like your parent(s) makes you a clone, then you really need to go learn some basic biology! Finally, if you don't realize that a kid is naturally going to have some traits of their parents (be it physical/personality/skills) then I really don't know what to say to such a moron!

Now, let's start debunking those stupid claims, going kid by kid.
Starting off with the MC, we have...
1. Boruto Uzumaki:
Sure, Boruto has some similarities to Naruto, but that is to be expected from a child of a parent. What's more, he has tons of differences in regards to personality, power/arsenal, goals, appearance, etc...
In regards to arsenal, Boruto has already used a slew of elemental attacks, and he has been using them since the academy. Wind style gale palm, lightning shurikens, thunderclap arrow, water style surging sea, Boruto stream, etc... Naruto has never ever fought like this!! In fact, the first time we ever saw Naruto use an elemental jutsu that wasn't just a rasengan variant or tied to a bijuu in any way, was recently from Hokage Naruto who is already in his 30's. Yes, it took Naruto until his 30's to showcase something as basic as a doton mud wall!
Furthermore, Boruto has gentle fist (which Naruto has never used for obvious reasons), karma seal (which grants him absorb/release abilities that Naruto doesn't have), and jougan (a never before seen dojutsu to us, that obviously Naruto doesn't have)!
The only attacks that Boruto has in common with Naruto thus far are rasengan and shadow clone jutsu, and he honestly varies from Naruto even in those jutsus.
As far as shadow clones go, Naruto has an enormous chakara reserve, so Naruto has always used shadow clones for the purpose of overwhelming his opponents with numbers. We saw him do this with Mizuki. We saw him do this with Gaara. Heck, we even saw him do this with Kaguya (remember the dimension filling combo). Most times we saw Naruto use shadow clones against opponents, it was for the purpose of overwhelming with sheer numbers, surrounding the enemy on all sides.
For Boruto, it's different. With Boruto it's more strategic. Because Boruto has a much smaller clone limit, Boruto uses his clones mainly for stuff like feints, diversions and deception. A prime example of this can be seen in the fight against Ao, when he passed the absorption hands off to a clone in order to fool Ao (and yes I know that Naruto once did something similar to this against Kaguya with the truth seeking balls, but even so Naruto's main objective with the clones was still to overwhelm her, whereas Boruto's is not)
As for rasengan, it is what it is, but notice that even Boruto's sole rasengan variant is different from any of Naruto's. Does Naruto have vanishing rasengan? No!
Aside from that stuff, I could go on and on about stuff that Naruto has that Boruto doesn't. There's Kurama/other bijuus, sage mode, RSM, toad summons, etc...
Now, let's talk about personality/goals:
Remember when Boruto couldn't break his own arm to get out of Kakashi's hold? Would Naruto do it? Yes!
In fact, Naruto even stabbed his hand once simply to make a vow! Naruto let Karui beat him up just to vent! Naruto let Kabuto stab his hand, just so that he could hit Kabuto with a rasengan!
What's the point here? The point is: Even from an early age, Naruto has always shown drive and determination/ambition, and the willingness to even endure self harm in order to make his way in the shinobi world and achieve his goals!
Now compare this to Boruto. Early on, Boruto didn't even have any goals! He was just becoming a shinobi just because. He had no drive/willingness to work hard, to suffer, to endure, or anything like that. Even going into the Boruto movie, he made sure to dust his jacket off when it got a little dirty. Sasuke even commented "I see, brand new". For Naruto, if at first he didn't succeed, try try again. For Boruto, if at first he didn't succeed, turn to short cuts like the kote.
Now are you really going to try and tell me that those two are "clone-like" and have the exact same personalities.
There are other differences as well.
Naruto was always portrayed as more of a dunce. Boruto however, picks up on things quickly and can actually be fairly academic and analytical. Remember, when Boruto passed the written academy test with 100% without cheating, or when he went up to the chalk board and started working that problem? Do you think kid Naruto could have done that? No! Boruto is also pretty tactical in battle as seen in the battles against Shojoji and Ao.
Other differences include interests. Boruto likes more modern youth type stuff like videogames, card games, and technology. Naruto liked watering plants, and sorting ramen.
For goals: Naruto wanted to become hokage, at first to seek acknowledgement, and then later it was to establish peace. Boruto doesn't really have any set goals. He doesn't want to be hokage, nor does he really desire anything grandiose. All Boruto wants to do is "support the kage" (or in other words, do basically what every ninja already does), and pretty much just chill.
Finally, let me address their "destiny".
There is this one moron who always claims:
"Naruto was a blonde haired blue eyed boy destined to be a hero"
"Boruto is a blonde haired blue eyed boy destined to be a hero"
Clearly, morons like this haven't really been paying attention to the story.
Boruto's fate is shrouded in ambiguity and uncertainty, unlike Naruto's. With Naruto, there was no question or ambiguity whatsoever that he was destined for greatness and heroism. We even had several characters such as Minato, Jiraiya and Gamamaru refer to Naruto as the child of prophecy who will bring peace! Even the bijuus once said "Naruto is the old man's..."!
With Boruto however, we get lines like:
"Those who defeat gods, cease to be normal people",
and
"Those blue eyes will take everything away from you!"
This is in addition to a foreboding flash forward straight off the bat, depicting a destroyed Konoha, a potentially dead Naruto, and apparently the end of the age of ninjas!
Do those two destinies even sound remotely similar to you?!
If anything, it sounds like Boruto has more of a cursed fate than a fate destined for heroism!
The closest thing to a heroic prophecy that we have gotten for Boruto has come from Toneri, but even then it is not to the same effect as Gamamaru/others' statements about Naruto. Whenever someone prophesized something about Naruto, the scene gave off this hopeful vibe.
Whenever Toneri prophesized about Boruto, we'd see him ominously coughing blood, or getting frozen for 10,000 years, or these ominous cracks in space itself!
Naruto and Boruto are nowhere near the same in the fate department.
In short, Naruto and Boruto are nowhere near clones of each other. Sure they have some similarities such as tnj and caring for friends, but that comes with being someone's child. Kids often have at least 1 or 2 personality traits of their parents, so if you are going to harp about that, then you are being a moron!
Finally, if you are going to go on about Boruto having blonde hair and blue eyes like Naruto, then go reread my disclaimer!

2. Sarada Uchiha:
Arsenal wise: Sarada's sharingan usage far surpasses her father's at this age. With 1 tomoe, we have seen Sarada make amazing use of all 3 of the base sharingan's core abilities (copying, precognition, genjutsu)! Now when was the first time that Sasuke ever used a sharingan genjutsu? It was literally in part 2 when Sasuke was 16 and had already had 3 tomoe for about 3 years already! As for copying, Sasuke has only copied one thing to date, and that was Lee's taijutsu.
As far as Sakura goes, Sarada fights with a lot more than just CES (even though it is available to her). Unlike Sakura, Sarada actually uses stuff such as katon, raiton, genjutsu, etc...
Now for personality:
Sarada has some traits of both parents, but she is a clone of neither! Unlike Sasuke in his youth, Sarada lacks the sheer arrogance and ethnocentrism that Sasuke had. Remember lines like:
"Learn to fear the name Uchiha, thick brows (referring to Lee when he challenged him at the chunin exams)"
or
"Before an Uchiha, even the greatest genius dwindles to mediocrity"
or
"I'm not like them (referring to Naruto and Sakura, stated during the bell test, at a point at which Sasuke did not have the bell)"
Remember those lines?
Sasuke in his youth was arrogant and racist as crap!
Sarada however, is not like that. While she does care to know about the clan, she is not so arrogant as to underestimate her opponents and assume that victory is guaranteed to her just because she is an Uchiha. She has shown some points of arrogance here and there, but it has never been so severe as Sasuke's. Furthermore, Sarada has shown more willingness to work as a team than Sasuke did in his youth.
As for Sakura, Sarada is not nearly as feisty and prone to punch first and ask questions later. She is also not nearly as emotional, and she is not obsessed with a boy like Sakura was.
Her hokage goal also differs from any goal Sakura ever had, and it is not the same as Sasuke's "hokage" (revolution) and she also does not have any revenge plans either.
Sarada is not a clone of either of her parents.

3. Mitsuki:
Not much to say about him really, but Orochimaru never expressed so much desire to follow some "sun" anywhere. Mitsuki has also never expressed Orochimaru's scientific interest, nor his desire to steal bodies/power/jutsus, nor destroy a village, or anything like that.
4. Chouchou Akimichi:
What moron would consider this girl a clone of Chouji? Sure, they both like potato chips, but other than that tell me this:
Since when was Chouji so obsessed with romance and boys (or girls in his case) that he actually didn't pay attention to his training and actually jeopardized missions?
Since when was Chouji so okay with being called fat? Last time I checked, if you called him fat, Chouji would knock your block off!
Chouchou however casually lets people like Inojin call her fatty and chubs.
Also, do you really see Chouji being so stupid as to go off and try to find his "real dad", basing it off of how impressive the guy is?
Calling Chouchou a clone of Chouji or Karui would honestly be an insult to those two.

5. Inojin Yamanaka
Not much to say here, but all Inojin really does is talk smack, and not much else. Ino was actually useful and so was Sai. Sai in his early days did his share of trash talk, but he eventually just became a stoic quiet guy.
6. Shikadai Nara
Of all these kids, Shikadai is probably the most similar to his parent (Shikamaru) than any of the other kids are to their parents, but even Shikadai has some differences. For starters, Shikadai seems to be noticably stronger than what Shikamaru was in battle. Meanwhile, he seems not quite as into the strategty games such as shougi, even though he did still pick it up in one filler. Shikadai also seems to be into more social kid stuff like playing video games with Boruto.
7. Metal Lee
Since when did Rock Lee become so nervous?! Are you really going to tell me that this kid who just shuts down because someone is watching him, is a clone of the guy who never gave up regardless of audience, circumstances, harsh words, etc...? That's an insult to Rock Lee.
The rest of the new gen kids don't have pre-established parents for us to go on.
