How are Edo Tensei weaker?

I still don't understand how a zombie can be weaker than the original. They obviously don't have less chakra, they clearly know how to use their own jutsus, and nothing's suggested about their physical abilities being diminished. Unless it has something to do with the mind-erasing tags, then that could effect their performance since they are reduced to attack dogs. The Edo Hokages could be "near full power" since they aren't being subjected to the mind-erasing tags, but are still restricted by Orochimaru's will.

Im not sure how it works but the first and second were so strong oro could only summon them at 30% otherwise they would have broke free the first time. and even now they arent 100%

The problem is the chakrapool.

Tobirama and Hashirama have a lesser chakrapool as Edos then they were alive. However in Minato's case its different.

Chakra i think. They probably have less chakra than when they were alive. What people are always mistaking is to think that Edo have infinite chakra. No they have infinite regeneration, that means their chakra never really runs out, but it seems they can still be low on chakra(explaining why 2nd Mizukage had to hide his weakened body during jokey boy, or Hashirama or Tobirama who couldn't perform a lot of clones while maintaining the barrier)

yeah plus hashirama was revived with a body that was pretty much his own (zetsu) xd so that helped alot

Who invented this "30%" estimate?

could be the summoner has yet to perfect the skill and can't bring them back at full power at least that is how I interpreted what happened.
