The explanation you desire is absent in both the Databook and the Manga. There's literally no logical method as to how Sasuke's Rinnegan is capable of distorting space, it just can because it's simply an ability that was bestowed to him by Hagoromo.

ameno is basically kawarimi.... one that still works appareantly. because somewhere midway kishi forgot about kawarimi. which literally did the same. they both instantly exchange their bodies to an object nearby.... except ameno uses much more chakra and needs a rinnesharingan, as for kawarimi, i think thats a D-rank jutsu? XD

i never understood how everyone like this power, or thought it was amazing or awesome....
