How amaturasu can be more destructive than a shinra tensie.

Its simple: All sasuke or Itachi would have to do is get like 5-10 cats set them all on fire with amaturasu and have them run around the hidden leaf village. Idiot villagers would catch on fire then others would try to put it out, and then end up catching on fire. Then buildings will burn and the whole leaf will be engulfed following that pattern when there's 100+ people running around on fire like cats.

All sasuke or Itachi would have to do is simply just sit on a far tree were they can see the village and just enjoy the view of a hidden village being burned

Why not just burn a building? Amaterasu was said to not be extinguish and last for 7 days and nights.

Or they can just look at the village from such a distance that it looks like a dot and use amaterasu.
