How 8th Gate Gai Will Die

Hi Guys,

I was wondering how Gai will die. We all know that opening the gates has a toll on the body and afterwards the user is in serious pain. By opening the the 8th gate we know he is dead, but how will he die?
Is he using his life force as power or is the toll of moving at those speeds and exposing the body to that strain just gonna make him die from strain or does the 8th gate end when his life force is finished(if that is where he gets the power from)

I havent seen any manga fact where it states the cause of death from using the 8th gate.

If you have the facts or a better speculation please feel free to drop it.

I dont think any of us is sure!!!!I know how Kakashi died during the pain fight was due to depleting his chakra so I guess that will happen to Gai when his life force or whatever is giving him this power runs out!! damn this is eating away at me.

I'm fairly certain that you smash the 8th gate, specifically when he pokes his thumb into his heart. I think it is no longer repairable and his heart will eventually just give out due to fatigue. Its an irreversible change once the 8th gate is open you can't close it again.

This is how i see it . Gai's body won't last any longer & he will just ran out , Madara will talk & give him a little speech & before he gives him the final blow , Naruto will show up -_- , I just hope the little shit doesn't save his life , Gai needs to die .

It doesn't really make sense for guy to die if he's against an enemy he can't beat. The point of Noble Self Sacrifice is that you stop the other guy.

blood loss...exhaustion....and i think he will die just because he opened it...ill give him 5 more chapters to live tho...
the gates start in your head and end in you heart if you open all of them and they push power through your body...so i think his body will die from the strain that it inflicts by using such a move like how the elephant attack stopped due to the pain then started back when it was suppose to be a 5x hit
