I'm only 10 tracks deep in 2014 Forest Hills Dr. and I can already say it's the hottest album of 2014. It's no secret that 2014 was really bad for rap.

Put your top 5 fav. albums of this year.

The New Wu-Tang album "A New Day" is definitely the best rap album of the year it's dope af. Eminem was just making Rap Gods parts 2-100 so Shady XV isn't really that special it has it's moments though. Forest Hill Drive is hands down Cole's most original album to date he is clearly doing himself on that album. Thing is he's reaching for a title that he just can't claim at this time based on all his old material and it's hurting his legacy. Imo everything else isn't worth mentioning. Oh yeah the new Kid Cudi was dope too but he's trying to hard to be different.

Forest Hills Drive - J Cole
Oxymoron - Schoolboy Q
My Krazy Life - YG

Only three I'll continue to listen to
Only one good song in there.

OT:

Ab-Soul - These Days...
Lil Wayne - The Carter V (Not released yet but it's finna be good because it's his last album)
G Eazy - These Thing Happen (His whole current discography is a masterpiece)
Step Brothers - Lord Steppington
Common - Nobody's Smiling
Logic - Under Pressure
Wiz Khalifa - Blacc Hollywood
Young Money - Rise of an Empire

That's my list IMO

I hear Under Pressure was dope. Shady XV was disappointing, and that says a lot because I wasn't even excited for that album. These Days was great, and haven't heard Oxymoron yet. Gonna listen to Forest Hill Drive now.

Edit: Stop kidding y'allselves, Carter V gonna be garbage, just like all of Wayne's new shit.

You're buggin'. The good majority bumps hard.

Rise of an Empire was trash. And Lol if you really think the Carter V is going to be Waynes last album. The man has so many songs recorded, it's not even funny.

I heard Shady XV was lame :erm: and yeah, Carter V is going to be the same shit we usually get from Wayne these days. Don't expect some uber-good shit because it's his "last" album. He probably using that as a marketing thing to sale more copies Lol wouldn't be surprised to see a Carter VII by 2018.

At OP: Good Kid, MaaD City...Oops! Lol
