Does anyone know what happened to highschool of the dead I've only seen the first season did they continue or stop or do they have a manga and if they do is it still ongoing or did the story end in the same place it did in the anime

The manga has been basically on hiatus for two years now.

I believe last year or the year before was the first chapter in a year or maybe more.


The story has 30 or 31 chapters.


The anime has one season. A second season was green lighted, but never produced as of now.
