Your Thread is rated - with the others said above --^ is wrong. Depending on the number of ratings makes your thread in the "Hot Box," but "Spamming" of useless and pointless stuff such as meme's, adult language, bashing other members, stupidity, and etc. all comes into play.

After you create a thread, if it provokes discussion, it may make it to the hottest threads. The more people actively posting, the sooner it gets there. Some threads get there due to good, popular discussion topics; other threads get there by controversy/spam/flaming/rule-breaking.

The good ones remain, the bad ones typically get trashed (Occasionally one or two will remain, but not on purpose).
