Madara under Impure World Resurrection was quite sure he could have defeated Obito at any time and thanked Naruto for weakening him. Do you think he could back-up what he said?

1. Madara stated to Hashirama that he was going to switch places with Obito using his Sage Chakra.

2. Madara had to absorb that chakra from Hashirama which implies his Edo Tensei form did not have Hashirama's Sage Mode.

Obito can only be killed by extreme Taijutsu or Sage Chakra, neither of which Madara does not have.

The way I see it, madara will be cocky at the very beginning, cuz he's an edo. Then obito uses whatever tech he used to cancel edo regeneration. But by then, maybe he has lost an arm.Then madara gets serious. He could pretty much use asura path to get a new arm.

I see madara winning honestly. PS + rinnegan tech + edo = madara takes this.

But he needs sage chakra, so he'll pretty much absorb some rikudou chakra from obito before he can deal any damage.

But, he thought he could do it literally all by himself. Nope. What characters think of themselves doesn't matter.
That said, Juubi Jinchuriki Barrier Jutsu + Multiple Juubidama tree + Onmyōden = ggnore

With what he showed, he can't beat Obito alone, besides using that reflecting Gunbai that's a NLF. Sage chakra might be able to boost his Perfect Susanoo up to the power of Naruto and Sasuke's Kurama fusion, but Madara wouldn't be able to take out the bijuu like Naruto did.

Potential abilities he could use are Shinsenjuu, Izanami, and absorption of Obito's Sage chakra to level the playing field.

What Madara maybe was depending on was Zetsu getting the other Rinnegan to give to somebody to revive Madara with or give him a strong ally, getting a bijuu to seal into himself for more power, stealing Kakashi's eye after the Rinnegan left over revives him, or fighting alongside Spiral Zetsu. Potentially, the Rinnegan left over could also take out the Gedo Mazo from Obito.

Madara's an Edo Tensei, so when Obito would have casted Infinite Tsukiyomi, Madara could have maybe gotten the fruit for a boost for himself or taken down a drained Obito.

If Obito is attacking Madara without regard to the Tailed Beast Bombs, he gets killed as well. The Wood-Style also easily allows Madara to leave the barrier.
