Do you think that people would not be scared of horror movies if we weren't exposed to it at an early stage?
For me i like horror films, but am terrified of any kind of scary doll movie because my family made me watch chucky when i was a kid.

think it depends on the kid /the enviroment when watching it and how the people around the kid act when seeing it kids learn by watching. Personally when i was younger my older brothers loved horror movies and i was forced to watch or be bored for the mest part so after the first few times of watching them with my brothers laughing when people got killed for being the idiot that all horror movie victims are i didnt mind them and then grew to like them and have no problem with any kinda of them nowadays.

It's perception, depending on how you watch the movie depends on how it will affect you.

If your watching the movie but in the back of your mind putting yourself in the situation, you'll be afraid during and if not during then after when your trying to sleep or alone.

So certain movies will be scary to some people while others won't be because they can't place themselves in the situation or imagine it happening to them. Then you feel like it's a silly movie, while someone else is scared shitless.

If you've been watching them since you were a kid you've unconsciously trained your self to just watch what you see. Most children don't place themselves in the situation, they just absorb. So you shouldn't be scared.

I've been watching horror films for years. One of my first, that I can remember, was the Exorcist 1973 when I was around 8 and I ended up laughing. Same with Child's Play. It depends on the person, so I doubt it.
