Horror genre

I'm curious what kind of Horror movies you like and why? There are many different Horror sub genre's, but like most things in life I find each person tends to favor ones over others, and I'm interested in hearing about what you particularly enjoy about them.

I don't waste money on torture porn or ghost stories anymore. But I'm excited as hell to see The Purge! It looks good and just might rekindle my interest in horror

Sitting here watching Friday the 13th part 4 "the final chapter". It's hokey, and fun. It knows what it is, and doesn't take itself too seriously.

Yeah I can't enjoy horror movies as much anymore, but the suspense genre gets me.

Movies like Insidious, they dont have blood or gore, just jump scenes and suspense

I've never really liked jump scenes, I kinda find them to be a cheap substitute for real tension

Insidious was really good... and I will be watching part 2 of it and the purge also.. I love good horror movies..
