Horriblesubs = Really fast releases, but subtitle accuracy low because of ripping from Crunchyroll
Taka = Good translations as well as subtitled OP's and ED's, but slower releases.

HorribleSubs doesn't sub its releases, all they do is rip anime's off Crunchyroll -- thus resulting to a fast release. However, the accuracy of the translations are so-so.

As for Taka, they are still trying to catch up with the series, and they are pretty slow at releasing because they actually sub their anime's. The accuracy of their translations are great though.

I personally like Taka because of the quality, accuracy, and their release formats (.mp4) because I watch my anime's in my iPhone. Also, they do karaoke's for openings and endings of each and every anime they sub.

Ignore the people who say Taka are better overall because they're not.

The only advantages of Taka are the format and the opening/ending tracks are subbed.

The video quality of HS is slightly better - not to mention the aforementioned have 1080p when Taka doesn't.

Translations are generally similar, Taka translations are somewhat inferior on occasion though.

I think most people are saying the latter's translations are better because Crunchyroll have had poor translations in the past, but that's generally not the case any more and hasn't been so for a long time now.
