[PS4] Horizon: Zero Dawn

Things that I really LOVE about this game already:
- a cool, beautiful, confident and female main-character "Aloy"
- the amazing voice-actress, Ashly Burch, who also lend her beautiful voice to "Chloe Price" from Life Is Strange, for example
- a beautiful, post-apocalyptic world
- the powerful and amazing soundtrack <3
- singleplayer only! resulting in much more focus on the story, which is perfect
- it's the start of a new franchise
- humans are not at the top of the food chain, which can create a very intersting story

The only thing that I don't like, is.. that this beautiful game will be PS4 exclusive. That means, I will have to buy a PS4 only for this game. Meh.

~ Update ~​

This masterpiece of a game is going to be released in a month. Lots of time has passed since I first saw it and my excitement only grew bigger and bigger the more time has passed. Especially since the PS4 Pro will push this game even further in terms of technical quality. But even more important than that is the story.

Let's take a look at the new story-trailer that was released not too long ago. Can't wait for this experience

OT: ive been following this since they announced it. i love the style between older nomadic and futuristic mechs. honestly it seems too good to be true in a lot of ways but it looks fun from everything ive seen.

i cant tell how the story is, someone once told me that theres really only 10 or so themes a movie can have. i believe it, the whole New World order plot isnt new and has been done a lot. i feel what may stop this game from greatness could be the story if its boring, like a lot of games have been lately. im buying though for sure

This isn't Mafia 3 or No Man's Sky.

And sure, the story won't be pioneering new. No story is "new" at this point. Media is stronger than ever. Countless of movies, books and all other mediums of art already did all kinds of imaginable stories. We've seen pretty much anything at least once by now.

I said it in another thread but ill say it again the concept of robotic dinosaurs is so lack luster for me, and no it cant be a masterpiece unless it has a story worthy of that a bunch of visuals dont make a game a masterpiece otherwise every Ubisoft/COD game would be one so I will wait and see how good of a plot the game has and how many hours are there to spend into it that includes side quests and factions and such, a big world means nothing if its vast and just plain empty... *cough* Just Cause games *cough*

Got the game. I'm a few hours in and it's amazing. The story is definitely one of its strongest aspects. The opening prologue gets you attached to the characters quick.

It appears someone beat the game already games radar talked about the ending and if you play killzone same people who made horizon here is the spoiler

Turns out she is a descendant of the helghast and vektans she is on the planet Vekta. The events from Shadowfall actually led to peace between the two races some thing the ISA did not approve of. They brought Rico out of hiding to lead an invasion which the Vektans and Helghast repelled countless times. But Rico launched several nukes on the planet. The surviving people built the machines to restore the planet and save them. However many had to be sacrificed to make the machines fully capable The machines who were similar to herbivores were harvested from vektans while the predators were harvested from helghans. The tribes are in fact descendants from the Isa fleet which crashed when Rico launched the nukes.Thus the animosity the helghast machines have for them with the memories of vektans and helghast. However As a baby her mother Echo from killzone shadow fall placed her in a vault and stasis but one that with the machines advanced tech would have her grow as they saw fit until the machines decided it was safe to awaken and release her. This is what she witnesses when she returns to the vault. I hope you do not believe anything I posted

i also have been playing this before i go to bed. im loving it so far, has a Witcher 3 vibe imo with all the side missions. absolutely gorgeous presentation

very creative game, definitely buy if you can or have been wondering
