Kiba? Lost to Naruto's gas, lost to Sakon/Ukon, hasn't done anything since.

Shino? Beat Kankuro, almost killed himself in the process, and hasn't done anything since. + Naruto doesn't even know this fodder's name

Tenten? HA

I haven't checked the manga, how many characters has kishy killed so far. Because after jiraya's death i can't take this crap anymore.

I don't care to argue for Tenten or Kiba much. But as far as Shino having not done anything after his fight with Kankuro, he was the one who made it possible to learn about "Tobi's" secret technique and, along with his other clan members, obscured the position of the Alliance with his Jamming technique. So while he hasn't fought in a while he certainly has done something. Also Naruto forgot Shino's name once after the timeskip and that was only because Shino's face was covered. He (Naruto) remembered him enough in the Retrieve Sasuke to recall he (Shino) was strong after only seeing Shino fight once more than a month earlier.

Obviously people care more about the number of fights a character has and whether they won. Kiba lost to Sakon/Ukon, but it's ignored he survived the strongest (minus Kimimaro) of the Sound Five. And Kiba's loss to Naruto was arguably plot. Tenten took out one of Kakuzu's masks, I think.

Personally out of the three Shino seems the less "fodder". Tenten is admitted by Kishimoto to be the fill in and Kiba seems more of a butt monkey. Perhaps I'm just being biased.

But yeah, you're obviously speaking for yourself when you say "get rid of the ones we don't like". From my lurking in forums Shino gets more love than hate in general as well as compared to Kiba and Tenten, the two of which I see get called "fodder" the most. To this day people still view Shino as an unseen character they want to see. And we've been waiting ages, so there you go.
