Honestly, why does it matter whether or not minato can beat itachi in a battle or vice versa?? They are both powerful and both kage level in their own right. It doesn't matter who can beat who; THEY ARE BOTH POWERFUL. It would be a great battle don't get me wrong but nonetheless THEY ARE BOTH POWERFUL and BOTH AWESOME

Well to be fair they kinda need to because every character can be beaten by someone. It doesn't really matter that they can because the character that beat their favorite character can still be beaten by someone else
