Honestly: does Naruto have it in him to KILL a enemy?

The only situations that have ever made him want to kill someone is when a friend who shares his same pain is being tortured or held captive.

I see where youre coming from and I guess its all down to opinion. Some, including me, think Naruto had it worse than Sasuke. Sasuke had it really bad with his clan being killed, but he had a village of people that acknowledged him and had easy chances to at least form other ties (though it wouldnt have made up for losing his family). You talk about the nine tails power always being there inside Naruto, but the Kyuubi constantly kept trying to get Naruto to give into his hate and destroy everyone that hated him (for something he had nothing to do with). This is what makes Naruto a great character TO ME, he had so many chances to be justified in destroying everything but he never did, he took the hard path and won everyone over. I love Sasukes character too but he gave into all that on pretty much the first chance he got

Well that is sad, but at least he know what love is, people look up to him. Even after his clan, his family got destroyed (which is very common in ninja world) there are still many people love him.
On other hand, a boy without anything, hated by every single person he met, having corrupted mind that constantly tryin to take over. People look down to him. For him to able to forgive everyone despite knowing "your parent sacrified their life to save the village but still hate him" is incredible thing.

Where he had only like one freaking scary accident which was attacking sakura(Should've killed her, this would've made Naruto's development a lot better). Then his teacher's death. Sasuke's sad life ended on Ch.699!!! If learning that your own Government ordered your brother to kill your clan and family is not mess up, then clearly we have different views on things. Sasuke is the number one example of how failed the shinobi system can be.

But you know what? If you think Naruto got it bad, then maybe you understand what it is like for a lot of black people in America.

But then when it comes to Sasuke you say his sad story lasted through the whole series?? His parents were killed before part one even began, and then he had people acknowledging his strength and accepting him in part one.. he just refused to accept it. I agree, it was sad what happened with Itachi but some of sasukes struggles were self inflicted, he was lonely but never sought to form a relationship.. even in the manga he claimed he saw it as a weakness

I'm sorry. It just might be me. The crap that Naruto went through cannot be compare to Sasuke at all. Naruto conquering his dark side at the waterfall was weak. You growing up with no parents, having the village hate you, and having your master killed is not comparable to having your clan, including your mother and father slaughtered by your dear brother. I'm sorry. I just can't see how Naruto could possibly understand how Sasuke felt. I'm sorry. This is the number one reason why I can't like Naruto's character development. Naruto should've suffer A LOT MORE before fighting sasuke again. Naruto never really know what it is like to be powerless. He always have 9 tailed power to fall back on or somebody to lift him up when shit seem hopeless. He need to be thrown to the deepest part of the hell hole, then back to the light. If he had done that, he would've been one of best character anime/manga history.

I don't know man. Hashirama was stupid OP. Unless Madara like slaughtered a lot of people when he attacked the hidden leaf village, I don't see why Hashirama couldn't endure his hatred anymore? But Madara did said Hashirama had change. Hashirama started to view the Village as "Village > Friends & Families". Madara said that will bring darkness to the village.

It was said by Hashiramathat Madara tried to destroy the Village numerous times and if he actually did that things would go back to when they were before. Madara was already too far gone and Hashirama was already Hokage and had to think about his People and their future.

Naruto was basically acknowledged by everybody after Gaara. There was no sadness he had to deal with really. He went traveling with his favorite teacher eating ice cream and shit. When he felt bad for almost killing his teacher in training, Jiraiya cheer him back up. That is not suffering really right there. Then when Jiraiya got killed, yeah Naruto was sad and crap, but he was already a man by that time. Not a child like when Sasuke was when his clan and parents was killed by itachi. If Naruto was a child when hearing about Jiraiya's death, then he most likely would've left the village to track nagato down and kill him in rage. But no, he wasn't a child at that time.

You can experience the pain of loss as an adult and move on quicker. But when you experience that as a child, that shit is molded into you hard. You can't overcome it easily. Child trauma is not something that can be solve by people acknowledging you or having a lot of friends. But Sasuke did partly gotten over it after being on team 7. But guess what happen? Itachi slapped him around and "freddy krueger" raped his mind in part 1. So what happen? Sasuke took 5 steps forward, then itachi set him 30 steps back.

As long Itachi was alive and out there, Sasuke's nightmare was never over. He may of took a quick break by having a lot of fun with team 7. But itachi raped his mind back into reality.

Let's be honest her. Naruto doesn't even have top 3 saddest story in his series that was meant to show his struggle. He doesnt even make top considering itachi, neji, sasuke pein and gaara. The spot for 1. Is itachi an closly trailing is sasuke. Never understood how naruto thoughthe could experience empoathy with sasuke who lost everything whereas naruto had nothing to lose.
