Everyone has their own opinions. But I for one think homosexuality is just as right as heterosexuality. There's nothing wrong with it. If two male guy/chicks love each other that much...who are we to judge them? Love has no gender.

I was not trying to force religion into this. I just wanted to know why people thought it was ok to be homosexual.

But what if because of the choices you made, again depending on what you believe, sent you to hell to burn for all eternity.

If love=eternal torment on a religion some people don't believe in, then I think I'd go with love.

I am 100% for equality. I don't like religion imposing on happiness and equality. That's wrong. I just wish everyone could not impose their beliefs on somethings. We all agree killing is wrong, but putting same *** attraction/love in the same leauge as killing is just wrong.

I know I was all over in my post, but anyways, I'm for equality. I see nothing wrong with homosexuality. Honestly, I don't even like classifying things as straight or bi or whatever. It's just loving someone and wanting to spend your life with him/her. It's simple and doesn't affect the life of someone who's so offended at that idea, the idea of happiness. Two females or makes having intercourse or getting married doesn't affect your (random example) life at all. Why try to deny them happiness? That's what I don't get it. Like Tosh said, God is waiting at the pearly gates in heaven to prevent them entering heaven, if that's your belief. Why make it hell on earth if they'll end there anyways? That's not cool.

Right, but now here is a question for you. America was created based on Christian values therefore regardless of what others say or think it is a country that believes in GOD. The Christian faith, my faith, believes that homosexuality is wrong. So from when, from the beginning of this country to right now, did we succumb to other people's beliefs and try to change the law to fit everyone's needs.

The values of christianity and religion in general are very broad. The whole concept of America goes against referring to a bible before you make a law. What makes America so great is the fact that you can be whoever you want to be, or worship a banana if it makes you happy. No country as a whole believes in god. You seem to be missing the part where America was made with an emphasis on the separation of the church and state.

if you're straight, be straight.
if you want to know about the others lifestyle, ask them personally. Our opinions do not matter, as they shouldn't change yours.

Are you sure? Jesus is God's son, what God says "the creator of everything" is law. God had already stated that homosexuality was an abomination. For you to look at Jesus not saying anything about it shows that your just trying to cover up and try to scrape by into heaven and hope to get lucky. there are no shortcuts for the path to heaven is straight and narrow.

sorry, I had to post for them first so I could think clearly to answer yours lol

yes, we separated from the church in England because we the quakers didn't believe in the way they did things. We wanted to get rid of taxes from King George and so we set sail to America. After many years of battle, we declared our independence from England and created a constitution with certain laws and rules. Here's a thing that may ring a bell or two for some of you too " those that break the rules are scum". If we were to be completely free without rules than we as a nation would fall. The more leniency we give to others the closer we get as a nation to literally collapsing. We are already 3 times more in debt because of the last 4 years of presidency. Now we have another for and I pray that somehow we deal with it or at least keep it from rising any more. I hope this answers a question or two for you, and if I missed a question could you repost it for me lol

Well, that was very irrelevant to the topic at hand. No rule is being broken by allowing gays to have the same basic human rights that all others receive. Nor do i think that allowing them those rights would cause harm in any way to the structure of our country. Thats illogical.

Anyways, I really don't know what to say. I disagree with you and really can't respect your opinion, but you're free to think what you want. Thinking something doesn't hurt anybody. Acting does. Forcing beliefs on people is wrong. I'm not saying you are, I'm just giving an example since this entire thread is about right and wrong. I just don't understand somethings. You seem to be so into God, yet are so against people being happy when it comes to homosexuality. If that's what you think, that's okay, but if you're someone who protests the legislation of it, I just don't understand. Peace and overall happiness, something the bible promotes, can't be won that way.

God created rules that all of man should follow for that would lead them into the kingdom of heaven. You honestly think that you were born to only serve yourself. That is selfish. The Good Book is a way to peace and happiness. The laws in the past were based on how the founding fathers believed. Their faith influenced the way they made the constitution which consequently made us the most powerful nation in the world. Now, as time passes and we give in slowly piece by piece because people claim that isn't fair, we have now lost that title as the greatest. Rules are made to keep balance, to keep peace within a society. When one breaks the rules or rebels against them, they weaken and soon will be lifted because now we as a nation have forgotten where we come from and what brought us to where we are today.

This got taken in a direction it wasnt meant to go in. Im not going to argue the existence of your oh so might god with you right now. It has never changed anyones mind before, and youre entitled to your own beliefs. That being said, i dont believe in a god, and thus every argument you make concerning the bible falls upon deaf ears. And thats what you arent getting. America isnt all christians. There are obviously various amounts of religions as well as a large number of atheists such as myself. With that in mind, there is no real justification the government can make concerning that because if there only reasoning for a law like that is because the bible said its wrong, you have their very credibility at stake.
