I tried reading it once, but I couldn't get into it. I guess it's just not for me.

Along with the fact that I've met numerous fans of the series over the years (and the large majority of those are quite unsociable), it has been difficult to enjoy or respect it.

Stick with it, its gonna be a bit slow at first but then at act, i believe 4, You'll see the _____ and it's gonna start building. Act 1-3 is sort of like setting it up.
