Holy shit, basic ninja skills are underrated!!

Like really we don't even talk about these basic part 1 genin-level jutsu but they can be seriously useful in battle situations

Substitution jutsu: hot damn this technique is underrated! It's pretty much the izanagi of Part 1. All you have to do is weave a sign and you teleport to safety? How does this thing work?

That's it!? Just 'switch'? Damn, you can even 'switch' with an opponent's clone like Kakashi did!

With this technique, users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. You can attach a paper bomb to the back of the substitute, so when your opponent goes in for the kill it blows up in his face. Wow! But can this jutsu actually be useful? It always was in Part 1 (remember how Sakura was avoiding the Sound Ninjas' attacks while in the Forest of Death?), and continues to be in Part 2:

It is actually a very neat technique that could prove useful for a variety of situations.

Transformation Jutsu: With one of these, a person can transform into any object of their choice - be it part of the battlefield, a different person, an animal, a tree - anything! And even something like a sharingan can't see through this! This is a brilliant technique that actually has its uses.

This can be very good for deceptions and confusing the enemy, especially if used in conjunction with clones

Clone Jutsu. The basic clone jutsu can create duplicates of yourself. Although they are just illusions, they are difficult to differentiate between and are useful for confusing the enemy. For example, Sasuke or Itachi wouldn't know who to one-shot with Amaterasu if there's a whole bunch of them.

Anyway, I just thought these basic ninja skills are underrated and could be utilized way more often. They shouldn't be counted as irrelevant, even in versus matchups

I was going to make a thread about that but knowing the type of people that come on the base it's a waste of breathe , people overlook basic skills that truly rates a shinobi skills. The only thing that impress people now a days are Hagoromo,Kaguya,MS,Rinnengan & Senju DNA all because 99% of the NV loses to people with powers like that doesn't make you a bad ninja that's like saying a 85 on a test is horrible the top 1000 Ninja are elite out of the Millions passed in the life times of the shinobi wolrd.

The Replacement jutsu deosn't teleport multiple people at once,and the clone jutsu is like a weak version of Shadow clones. Shadow clones have flesu and blood whereas the clone jutsu is just an illusion.

Did you make a typo? Did you mean to to say,"For example when was the last time Naruto used the transformation jutsu?

That would match up with the first part of your sentence,considering you said they are forgotten.

You forgot about naruto sage mode and chakra mode with his spamming shadow clones and spamming rasengan ass.

But yeah, the manga went ass mode once nagato attack village. kakashi vs hidan and kakuzu, sasuke vs deidara, and pain vs jiraiya are the best fights in the history of naruto to me. It wasn't on some power ranger shit or brawl fight. it was all about observe, counter, strategies, and wasn't too overpowering!
