This is why i try not to spot things/ think that far ahead so these little nuggets can come to a lovely surprise to me
I liked Zetsu as well so i've always been hoping he'd make some sort of return, even short.

That would be an interesting and amazing plot twist by kishi (zetsu can betray madara/obito because he has his own consciousness). And i always knew zetsu never died because when an akatsuki member dies it shows his past and while we slightly know of zetsu's origins his creation was never fully explained, or gone into much detail. Also notice what black zetsu says before he supposedly dies, he mentiones that he is "earth" itself. What do you think that implies? that he can move throughout the earth maybe? This is the main reason why i think black zetsu is still alive and yes i agree i believe he will play a bigger role than we realize.

The Zetsu have Obito's and Madara's will in them though. Remember, Madara told Obito they could become his pawns.

Maybe it'll help Obito and Madara out later?
