DSM Kabuto is more powerful than Itachi, however Itachi outsmarted him.
Also genjutsu sometimes gets the best out of stronger opponents, even naruto is weak against it.

The reason he is called fast, is FTG really he is slower than A. Its just one of those kinks that people misunderstand, without FTG he wouldn't be the fastest ninja. Still don't think i hate him i like Minato he is in my top 5.

He did figure out a way to counter genjutsu but got caught up in one that uses your senses.
because A>B and B>C, it does not mean that A>C.
Itachi did not need to try to kill him to activate Izanami
Sasuke tried helping but he was useless.
