So couldn't Tobirama just release himself from Orochimaru's control when he wanted to attack him. He had his conciseness unlike the previous time, and he obviously knew the only weakness to the Jutsu as he did create it. Also, considering Orochimaru is stuck in IT, it would be a perfect time to release him and the other Kages, just in case Orochimaru turns his back afterwards

What is the point if Orochimaru isn't controlling them? I guess it would still be smart though just in case he changes his mind, but they probably just forgot in the heat of the moment.

Because at the moment he casted the signs was the moment after Itachi made Kabuto RELEASE the jutsu, so when everyone was turning to ash again Madara stopped right there.

Is there really any difference when he releases himself. It was never stated that you can only release yourself when the caster is releasing everyone. Madara just said, that so long as you know the Hand Seals, you can release yourself

it's pretty simple and was even explained in the last anime episode if anyone watched it, simply put SENJU DNA, specifically HASHIRAMA's DNA
