Hokages armor

In the latest chapter all four hokages finally appeared through edo tensei. After seeing all of your sigs for the umpteenth time ive come to realize how different each of them look armor wise. If you look at Hashi all the way to Minato the amount of armor is less and less every time. I understand that Hashirama lived in dangerous times where fish gets eaten by bigger fish. Thus it progesses incredibly where Hashi builds peace or what he can. This peace is passed down through the generations. Its obvious that he is the reason why Minato does not have that much armor. At least thats what i think the lack of armor symbollizes. Its like Hashi was living in the dark ages. I wonder if anyone could survive in his world? I digress, the point of the matter is to say that the line of hokages weakened not because of the individuals are weak but because the world became weaker. Each hokage was the strongest in their respective times in history but they were big fish in a small pond compared to Hashi's world.

U make a really good statement. In see wat you're saying, and the lack of armor through
the generations of Hokages explains alot through the hard times of Hashirama's timeline.

Armor evolves. The plate armor the 1st and 2nd rock are good for swords and stuff. 3rd just don't seem to give no damns. 4th is rocking a flak jacket designed to be light, handle small impacts, and prevent penetration. Common sense would dictate that it was caused by the 1st and 2nds major opponent being Kumo who are known for their kenjutsu. Minatos flak jacket is better suited for combating Iwa because it's lighter and more maneuverable. Its been shown in the 2nd ninja war the Sannin wore flak jackets as well but the 3rd doesn't. This shows a progression towards speed and maneuverability versus overall protection. Obviously the Akimichi clan needs more protection being the slowest which is why they rock plates. Might also explain why the gennin weren't ever issued flak jackets. Easier to run away without thirty plus pounds of armor on you.
