Well it makes sense if I was some insanely strong warrior in a world where fighting is the main thing, I would make sure my child is strong as well

It's an old theory of mine that the only way you can become hokage is if you're related to the former kages somehow.
Usualy to become kage you have to be trained by the best, and the strongest ninja that inhabits the village IS the Kage, so it's true.
Sarutobi is steand of Hashirama and Tobirama Minato is a student of Jiraiya who was a student of Sarutobi
Sarutobi was trained in the Hashirama/Tobirama team, they are not related. You can also say the same thing regarding Minato, he was trained under the guidance of Sarutobi, they are not related.

I repeat. Anybody from the same village will always have some connection to the hokage... even if its just that they are from the same village. Simple.

If Kurenai became hokage you could say she was daughter of a man who fought with the 3rd hokage against the 9 tails when it attacked the village. If Neji became Hokage you could say he fought the Shinobi Alliance War with Tsunade. I really dont see the point in this thread.
