Hokage Minato vs Nagato

I saw this thread in Naruto Disc but it went away for some reason, so I'll bring it back to life in here. I say Minato >Nagato.

Minato can get through Nagato's defenses.

Minato's base speed and intelligence, summoning, taijutsu skills, and threat of Kunai are more than enough to force Nagato to ST, after which Minato will throw Kunai and ftg to Nagato with plenty of time to spare before Shinra Tensei can be activated again. Minato's Kunai cutting skills takes care of the rest. Minat's kunai abilities are deadly, as shown when he cut one of Bee's tails off. A feat only done by the third raikage chakra fingers and sasuke's lightning blade.

Minato really has Nagato outmatched with speed. He can definately mark nagato, and marking him would probably be Minato's first objective.

Minato could also use his toad summoning on top of Nagato. Such a large toad falling on him would force him to use Shinra Tensei, giving Minato plenty of time (for him) to react and take down Nagato with kunai.


Minato's teleportation range with his teleportaiton formula kunai are greater than the range of Chibaku tensei, therefore FTG > Planetary Devastation

As for the missiles, Minato can teleport the missiles somewhere else (perhaps back at Nagato) with his space-time barriers.

Minato beats Nagato with speed, intelligence (he trained Kakashi) and deadly kunai melee skillz.

Nahh Nagato definetly takes this. Atleast if we're talking 6 paths of pain.

Every one of Nagatos paths are probably S-Rank or higher. Deva Path alone is high-kage level.

I don't see Minato taking on that many extremely strong opponents at once, especially not considering they have shared vision and can be revived if they get taken down. On top of that he also has to deal with the summonings which are all above ordinary summoning level.

Minato is ofc a very strong ninja though so he could probably take down 4 paths or something like that. But I still think he'd end up losing though. Nagato is simply too much for nearly any opponent.

I consider them roughly equal. The winner of the 2 would be decided depending certain circumstances for me, but i'd say Nagato would win more times than not
