I agree. Hashirama is a nice guy and peace between the nations would be great, but as shown in the manga the other nations don't feel the same way. Madara is a brilliant tactician and with hashirama behind him the leaf and the whole fire country would be undisputed world leaders. But alas, things didn't turn out that way..
