true but he still has the best leadership skills out there which is why the sage was praising him. If the sage, himself, praises you then it means you are a serious candidate for hokage.

Unrelated note: I like that naruto still mentioned his dream of becoming hokage and made a promise that he will still become hokage one day. Seems to indicate that there might be more plot before naruto becomes hokage. So maybe kakashi will become the 6th hokage and maybe there will be a third part to this manga.
