This thread will try to explain how the hooded man could be Shushui appearance wise. I got this idea by discussing the issue with Gobb in the Premium Chat.
Many people say how does the hooded man's face,
Even remotely look similar to Shusui's face.
That is where I think something important comes in that is Kishi showed us only half of his face.
This attempt by Kishi was done before on none other than Tobi.
In his fight aganist Konan, Tobi's mask shattered and only the right side of his face was shown. We all got tricked into believing that the marks on his face are old age wrinkles rather than facial scars cementing that he was Madara in his old age.
But did we see Obito's left side of his face ? Nope, cause that side was intact and by showing that side, anybody would have realized that Tobi was Obito.
This is also the reason that just after the unmasking, Kishi puts a lot of focus on Obito's left side of his face rather than the Right. By focusing on the Left side of his face, Kishi cemented that Tobi was Obito as the left side was intact and was Obito's true face.
Kishi has used this exact face thingy on Shusui except he used a crow instead of a mask/hood.
The crow is a significant part of Itachi's Tsukuyomi Genjutsu technique. Kishi foreshadowing that Shisui dying is an illusion ?
So, I think the other side of the hooded man's face is intact and would be revealed to be Shisui.
Another point that I wanted to emphasize on is the unique design of Shihui's eyes.
The Hodded Man's eye doesn't have this design because his eyes are stapled and the design would have being ruined by the stretching of the eye caused by the black wires.
Or alternatively, the design is still there, but blurry. Look how the lines are extended just like Shushui's eye.
Just something to think about. :sdo:
