Hizashi/Hanabi Hyuga ?

If Hizashi was downgraded to a branch family member because he was born after Hiashi then why is Hanabi still a main family member even if she was born years after Hinata?

because she isnt a guy...this is the same with monarchy, the family isnt branched off women becuase they cant keep the family name, if it was branched off that then the mark would be on 75% of the hyuga..or maybe they just do like every 10 generations

I think Neji will change Hyuga clan and he will become leader(doesn't mater about branch or main), important thing is to protect those close to you!

im not saying that..the way their clan is set up is exactly like how kings and queens are..theyre might be different tho...but i think its like as long as hiashi (or whatever his name is) lives he can decide that now that he is the main branch..so he can choose who is main or branch family..but yea i think it only is choosen one they start a fam

According to Neji, his father was put into the branch family because he was the second born.

From this, it stands to reason that Hanabi should be a branch member because she's the 2nd child of Hiashi but apparently she isn't. That's what the OP is asking.



Like someone said above me, the branch family likely consists of males only. Females would stay in the main to help the main family grow in numbers. It makes little sense to place women in the branch family.
