Hitman Reborn and YuGiOh

Oh man just got done reading Hitman Reborn, what an awesome manga for normal fun enjoyment *_*. People should definatly check it out if they haven't. (Though the manga seems to have ended).


But the entire time i was reading, I was reminded of Yugioh. The whole relationship with Tsuna (Vongola 10th) and Giotto (Vongola 1st) reminded me of Yugi and Atem (aka the Pharaoh or yami yugi). And its pretty interesting the series of hitman reborn began in 2004, while yugioh ended in 2004. Maybe the creator of Reborn was inspired by Yugioh.

So those who read the series already, did you see this parallel?

Yugioh > Reborn, but to answer you, I did notice the parallel

Reborn was really great. Yugioh was also great, but imo the seasons after Yugi sucked hard.
Who knows. Every Manga/Anime is inspired by another one.

well yugioh basically died off in regards to be a legit show after Yugioh GX. Now its some futuristic crap. X_X
