To be honest, I would have been fine with Obito being the fv. Maybe tweak the story a bit (Gai use the 8th gate against Obito and stuff) but overall, I felt that Obito was a much more climatic fight than Madara's or Kaguya's.

So nah, I don't think the story would've been rushed.

OT : Naruto and Sasuke are meant to be equals anyway, this power-up would probably give Naruto a much higher chance though.
