He's low kage. Done. The sad thing is, if we were to recreate the fight and make it happen in part 2 he would pull out some awesome techs. The moves he showed were pretty good for episode 60 as well.

correct me if im wrong when in that comment you quoted did i say hirzen weak he sucked i simply stated he beat hashi before he was introduced as a strong charcter
i don't get why people don't understand that orocimaru's edo tensei completely binds his edo's, meaning oro controls the way the edo's move, the technique they use and so on. Oro's match against hiruzen isn't a true testament of what hashirama and tobirama can do.
We never saw tobirama use his s/t techniques and hashirama's land mass chaging mokuton.
If Hiruzen can fight toe to toe with Hasahirama and even defeat him, you can bet your *** he won't lose to most characters. He knows ALL techniques within Konoha with the exception of Kekkei Genkai and even in his old age, he was stronger than Raikage, Oonoki, Mei, and 4th Kazekage. Iruka stated "He WAS known as the strongest Hokage" and what did Hiruzen reply with? "Hey, Iruka!! Don't speak using past tense!!" Hiruzen admitted right there he IS the strongest Hokage before his death since Minato never reached his prime.
If Hiruzen had his large chakra reserves, he would use Kage Bunshin to go 2 vs 2 against the former Hokage and would beat them. Let's not forget Hiruzen can use all techniques within Konoha. And let me state this. You honestly think Hashirama would pick a weaker Hokage, his younger brother, to take his place? You think Tobirama would elect a weaker Hokage, Hiruzen, to take his place? You think Hiruzen would elect a weaker Hokage, Orochimaru/Jiraiya/Minato, than himself? If that's the case, Hashirama built Konoha only for it to be destoryed later on since the Hokage gets weaker each time one is elected. Hashirama elected Tobirama before his death, acknowledging Tobirama to be strong enough to be worthy of Hokage and to be able to defeat him if the two ever fought.

Hiruzen was a master of over 1000 Genjutsu's, he Also has a 5 in Genjutsu

He was known as "the professor" for Knowing and being able to use all known (Non Kg) Jutsu's in the leaf at one Point in time.
He has shown Fire and earth, I would say it's safe to assume he can also use Water, Possibly Wind aswell.

Hiruzen also has Mostly all 5's in his Databook Stats. Only lacking Speed/Strength/Stamina because of his Old age.

Note: Look at the Page, and you see "Sniff", So hirzens sense of Smell must be quite good to be able to find Hashirama and Tobirama while he is blind.

Also when Iruka said he is the strongest Hokage to the students. Hiruzen replied with "Hey, Iruka!! Don't use past tense!!" Hiruzen IMPLIED he that he was the strongest in his prime. Plus Hiruzen was taught by both the 1st and 2nd. He'd probably know about their techniques and how to counter them plus Orochimaru perfected Edo already!
