Ok while all you people are trolling I hope you know that there is a power gap between part 1 and part 2 meaning that part 2 doesn't logically spin off of part 1. Orochimaru was a fodder in part 2 compared to part 1. And I'm sure the thought of sussano'o and an eternal magekyo sharingan wasn't even thought of by kikishimoto. Just look at the Zabuza Kakashi fight. Zabuza is said to be some kind of S ranked akatsuki level ninja in part 2. Just take a look at part 1 him and Kakashi barely did a damn thing in their fights. He lost to basically a base kakashi without Kamui. My point is Hiruzen Sarutobi's power in part 1 and part 2 are non comparable because Kishi moto made a mistake for the whole series. I can almost be certain that Kishi Moto AT FIRST intend for Hashirama and Tobirama to be at full power during their fight with the third hokage. He was in fact intended to be the strongest shinobi with orochimaru being the guy that took him out. So that being said even though kishi doesn't want him to be the strongest hokage any more. He still probably has a way wider range of techniques then he displayed in part 1. I would also like to state that his age did play a factor in his characters development in part 1.
