If the coolest piece of hype Kishi can give us with Hiruzen is him being able to use all the elements at once (something Kakazu was doing years back) then Hiruzen really is a lost cause.

People can speculate all they want but it's clear it was retconned and until Kishi shows anything proper (and Hiruzen's had enough chances now) then it's not happening. Get over it.
