Hiruzen vs. Oonoki

Hiruzen and Oonoki in their prime, who do you think would win? I really don't know myself but if I had to venture a guess it would be Hiruzen with high difficulty.

wrong. he said other people consider him that. and that was for konoha only. other villages likely have a different view. of the resurrected shinobi they were most afraid of muu and madara.

Prime Hiruzen would win here is why:
Hiruzen has been hyped as the strongest of the 5 kages of his gen and the strongest overall Hokage. I am fishy with this statement but it is what it is.

Feat wise old Hiruzen took on Oro, Edo Hashi and Edo Tobirama ON HIS OWN unlike old Oonoki who had the help of four other kages against Edo Madara.

When it comes to ninjutsu even though Oonoki has the strongest jutsu between Hiruzen and Oonoki, Hiruzen apparently knows all the jutsus in Konoha. This would mean he is more versatile. Just because Oonoki has a one shotter doesn't mean the fight is his. Hiruzen could go underground or use bunshin feints to counter jinton. Hiruzen apparently was a master illusionist which would allow him to trap Oonoki in a genjutsu so that the dust release would fail.

Overall I'd say prime Hiruzen wins with mid-high difficulty.

I Believe he was referring to Onoki's inspirational,motivational words he was giving to the kages.

Also Madara was still holding back at that time...

by powerscaling that makes him stronger than madara. and can you see hiruzen doing ANYTHING to madara? or third raikage? that hype is worthless. it was never mentioned again and was in part 1, no less.

he didnt take on edo tobirama. he blocked one jutsu and for the rest of the fight, tobirama did zilch. orochimaru for 90% of the match, did nothing except blocking enma twice and using his kusanagi to stab hiruzen in the back. hiruzen ended up having to kill himself, knowing oro and kages were toying around with him. granted onoki would have lost but he has no sealing techniques so of course.

underground...against a master of doton with many years of experience ahead of hiruzen...
and onoki is well aware of clones as he uses them himself regularly

ebisus word is essentially worthless. he could have been talking about previous kages anyways
