Hiruzen vs Mei

- Knows all techniques of Konoha
- Summon Enma
- Is called as "Shinobi no Kami"
- Great genjutsu skills
- Lots of experiences

I would say Prime Hiruzen, but we know nothing about his prime.. So take into consideration 69 aged Hiruzen

Mei:
- On of the best Suiton user - can use water dragon without water source
- Has lots of elements - Suiton, Katon, Doton, Yoton, Futton
- Very high inteligence
- Very nice chest and hairstyle
- Big stamina (I think)

I would say Hiruzen, even if he is old, should win this quite easily but what he has shown us puts him below Mei. The reason why I would root for Hiruzen is because he was portrayed to be as strong as healthy Orochimaru, who is as strong as Jiraiya. The same Jiraiya who managed to put up a good fight against Pain. Also both Jiraiya and Orochimaru would beat Mei without too much difficulty but I can't say the same for old Hiruzen since he never lived past mid part 1 Naruto. I'm quite sure if he lived long enough, we'd see him as strong as Orochimaru and Jiraiya because in part 1, they also didn't seem to strong if we compare them to current kage level ninjas but we saw more impressive stuff from sick Oro fighting 4 tailed Naruto then we saw from him fighting Hiruzen.

Still I can't actually give Hiruzen a victory since I don't see how he counters Mei's acid mist which will melt Hiruzen easily. Old Hiruzen also has worse stamina compared to Mei and even though he is much better in taijutsu, Mei is capable of pushing him back and keeping her distance because he isn't that fast.

Going by feats Hiruzen doesn't appear to be as strong (I mean compare Tobirama's Suiton to current Mei's huge water dragons), so I think taking the general idea of Hiruzen's strength is more accurate although I'll probably get flamed for this. That said I believe the 3rd Hokage would win if they were to fight in the manga, even in his old age. Mei can be underrated at times but I don't think she can beat this guy. His scores in the databook and his knowledge on jutsu, especially elemental jutsu, speak for themselves.

Just for the lulz I'll give a small fighting scenario between them (it's only fanfiction though):

> Mei walks through the hole and wipes the lava off her lips
> Hiruzen uses the water around him to make 5 water clones, who rush in to overwhelm Mei
> Mei blows out several acidic bubbles, and Sarutobi watches as the clones degrade and poof one by one
> Hiruzen finally toughens up and summons Enma onto the field
> Mei sends out her acidic mist and blows it in Hiruzen's direction
> Sarutobi uses a Futon and blows the mist away back towards Mei
> Mei counters him yet again by sending a Katon, strengthened by his wind, spiraling and exploding in his direction
> The smoke disappears and Hiruzen is nowhere to be seen
> Enma in the form of a staff hits her in the abdomen from below the ground, grabbing onto her legs as he expands and sends her smacking into the ground
> Mei shoots lava at the staff, forcing it to retract to its usual length as Hiruzen emerges from the ground
> Using her ultimate jutsu, Mei sends a giant lava dragon searing at her opponent
> Hiruzen makes Enma extend from the ground in order to jump far into the air Goku style, and finally transforms him into a sharp spear, throwing him at Mei and impaling her heart

I can see why people would think Mei wins though.

I agree with your post and the fanfiction. They both are versatile but due to lack of screen time, we don't know how much mastery they have over elemental releases and what types of jutsus they possess.
