Hiruzen vs Madara

Well, i saw a thread a while ago with Hashirama vs Hiruzen. Many people believe that Hiruzen would win. We haven't seen too much of Hiruzen, but he was chosen as 3rd hokage for a reason . On the other hand, Madara lost to Hashirama. Is it possible Hiruzen could beat Madara?

Both are in their prime.

this is their prime selves. madara got wood style after his battle with shodai. hiruzen cant even damage madara in the slightest

he didnt lie, he just changed his story over time and made all other hokages seem like they are far stronger rather than continuing to hype up hiruzen
