Honestly people see the bigger jutsu's and say Hiruzens a winner but if Kakuzu calls all his masks for a long range mode battle, not only can he counter everything except Hiruzens raiton with Domu (Which Atsugi takes care of as his Raitons his smallest jutsu ) But whats hiruzens counter to threads?

Of course thats without his edo regeneration

hiruzen w/ clones & enma staff clones will eventually bash 1 0r 2 masks, which is all that is needed to drastically shifti any notion of balance between the 5 elements.
Domu doesn't protect them at every single instant, there are openings

That is a tactical strategy there are other ways but it involves complex notions such as Kakuzu using the scale of the elemental clash to go and encounter Hiruzen in CQC

yes, he is...and implying that son gokus, sentient, power pole is a detriment, rather than an obvious fail safe to avoid Jiongo is disheartening to read

4 clones are still casting elemental jutsu that are clashing with Kakuzus? Kakuzu's threads literally make CQC hell. Diamond fist counters enma's pole while threads from the other hand smack him in the face and rip out anything they can

domu fist can't compete w/ enma staff, even if it can tank, it just gets blasted away while another staff stretches & elevates hiruzen to a preferred range.

but kakashi doesn't have 4 clones & 4 enma staffs, unrivaled weapon skills & the ability to counter orthodox elemental projection on reaction.
