The sick Orochimaru had 4, 5 in speed, just saying.

The databook does not take outside influences into account when giving stats. Otherwise, Tsunade would have a 5 in stamina thanks to her seal, and Sakura a higher strength score.

These "Hiruzen vs X" threads are fantastic ways to undermine a featless character by pitting him against well-developed opponents. If this were "Tobirama vs Gai", it'd be a considerably different story according to some people despite the fact that he and Hiruzen are equally as featless.

OT: Gai was concerned about Hiruzen fighting Orochimaru and his men by himself, while Kakashi (arguably Gai's equal, if not his superior) had complete faith in Hiruzen holding his own against someone Kakashi admitted inferiority against.

Gai vs Old Hiruzen = Gai wins at 4th (maybe 5th, which is stretching it) Gate
Gai vs Kurama Invasion Hiruzen = Gai wins at 6-7th Gate
Gai vs Hyped Prime Hiruzen = Gai loses fairly low difficulty

This isn't working like this, or else Itachi would have higher stamina stats and not 2, 5. Hiruzen would have higher stamina, speed and strength stats, etc. It shows a chraracter's current state and not his state in his prime/ when he was healthy.
