I paired Hiruzen and Shikaku together because they are the two most analytical minds the hidden leaf has ever produced. Curious to see if there combined intellect could afford them a win in this situation.

From what I took from the manga, he was mostly known/hailed as a genius. Even given the name of the professor. We even were able to see him (the only individual) completely analyze and deduce the makings and workings of the gudou dama. Who do you find to be more intelligent?

Shikaku and hiruzen both have long range justu of there own. And just as kakazu has 5 elements, hiruzen has them as well. Also a free moving enma, and shadow clones. (Just playing devil's advacate)

I don't understand how you figure kakashi to be more intelligent than hiruzen. Im not attacking I would just like to know. It seems that in the manga hiruzen has way more intellectual feats than kakashi.

Hmmm.. I see. You make a good point that it would take experience. But out of most of the older shinobi we have seen why is hiruzen the only one with all 5 elements. I feel as though madara and hashirama have far more battle experience then hiruzen, yet do not possess all elements as he does. Intellegence must play some role in it?

Because Madara and Hashirama didn't bother training to use 5 elements. Their fire-power is enough.​

He hasn't bodied anything, he has not said anything with substance yet, just hot air. His excuse for Madara and Hashirama not learning all 5 elements is because they simply didn't bother trying. That almost as bad as when someone said Madara has no Sage Mode because he never bothered to learn it. Its an extremely weak argument concerning this specific issue at hand. I will leave this point now but just wanted to point that out.
