But considering all the hype we've heard about Prime Hiruzen, there's no way Prime Hiruzen could have been weaker than Tsunade.

Ofc taking the hype literal would be stupid. Unless we see proofs there's no way that Hiruzen > Hashirama.

But with all that hype he much have been quite a bit stronger, so even if Tobirama, Hashirama and Minato we're all still superior to him, then I simply can't imagine Prime Hiruzen being weaker than Tsunade.

I've just never seen any tanking feats from Tsunade that suggests she could tank this. She tanked two hits from a susano'o sword and one Magtama. Hiruzen did at least 15 attacks of a similar scale in that scan, and that's low balling it. The way I see it, arms, legs, body parts, go flying everywhere.

Her healing from that scratch doesn't even compare to the destruction Hiruzen dished out with his staff. She has normal durability when her seal is released,the seal just allows her to heal faster. So like I said, those fragmented mokuton branches become Tsunade.

When Tsunade was reconstructed, she was simply missing a few cells that she immdiately recovered. Those cell were the gashes you saw healing in the scan.

You're missing what the technique does. It's a common issue in sci-fi stories where teleportation is used; sometimes when the object is reconstructed in the new area, it's missing cells or parts. When Tsunade was reconstructed, those gashes you saw were the parts missing and she healed.

If it were merely a few cells, why the hell does she need to regenerate herself. A few cells is scratching yourself with a needle. The gashes Tsunade had is several millions of cells missing in each gash... Do you understand how many cells are in the body? A rough estimate of the average human is 100 trillion cells... So every gash she had on her body was missing several millions of cells... You underestimate how essential cells are and how small they are.

This single feat puts Hiruzen above Tsunade (as if he wasn't already). The speed and strength behind that single attack would more or less fodderize Tsunade. She wouldn't be dead, but would be a mess, and certainly wouldn't be in fighting condition.
